Founded by Sanchitaa Gupta, an esteemed fashion designer, educator, and consultant, FashEnable is more than just a label—it is a movement that celebrates craftsmanship and inclusivity.
A proud alumna and former professor of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), New Delhi, Sanchitaa brings over two decades of global expertise in fashion, textiles, and the craft sector. She has worked extensively with artisan clusters across India and abroad, empowering craftsmen through innovative design and skill development. Her passion for ethical fashion extends to the remote landscapes of Ladakh, where she champions the promotion of local Pashmina.
Her work as a fashion and costume designer has been recognized on prestigious platforms, including the Academy Awards (Oscars) red carpet. She has been the leading costume designer and director for several international feature films, including:
🎬 Iqbal En Indiske Juvel (Danish feature film directed by Oliver Zahle, based on Manu Sareen’s novel)
🎬 Delhis vackraste Händer (Swedish TV series directed by Oscar nominee Hannes Holm)
Her couture gown worn by Malin Holm at the Oscars 2017 during the nomination of A Man Called Ove received widespread acclaim. That same year, FashEnable was nominated for the Best 5000 MSME Award.
Sanchitaa’s expertise extends to beauty pageant couture, having designed for Miss North India, Mrs. India Worldwide, Mrs. Asia International, and Mrs. India Earth. She has also served as a jury member and coach on these prestigious platforms.
For over a decade, she has been closely associated with the Government Handloom Sector, working as a designer and consultant to uplift India’s rich textile heritage.
